(Benzene-1,2-diolato-²O,O')(di-2-pyridylamine-²N,N')palladium(II) hemihydrate

Abstract: In the title complex, [Pd(C₆H₄O₂)(C₁₀H₉N₃)]·0.5H₂O, the Pd atom has a distorted cis-square-planar geometry defined by an N,N-bidentate di-2-pyridylamine (bpa) and an O,O-bidentate benzenediolate (bd) ligand. There are two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The crystal structure is stabilized by intermolecular hydrogen bonds.
