2-(2,6-Diphenylpiperidin-1-yl)ethanol

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₉H₂₃NO, crystallizes with two molecules in the asymmetric unit. The piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation in both molecules. Intramolecular O-HN and C-H interactions are observed in only one molecule in the asymmetric unit. The crystal packing is stabilized by O-HO intermolecular interactions, generating R₄⁴(8) rings.
