Abstract: A new monoclinic polymorph of anhydrous zinc acetate, poly[di-![[mu]](/logos/entities/mu_rmgif.gif)
2-acetato-zinc(II)], [Zn(C2H3O2)2], crystallizes in the space group P21/c. The structure contains two-dimensional sheets identical to those in the known C2/c polymorph, but exhibits a different sheet-stacking sequence.
