Abstract: The Ni atom in the title complex, [Ni(S₂COCH₂Ph)₂(NC₅H₃Me-3)₂] or [Ni(C₈H₇OS₂)₂(C₆H₇N)₂], is octahedrally coordinated within a trans-N₂S₄ donor set, with the Ni atom located on a centre of inversion.
