Diaquatetramethanolcobalt(II) sulfate

Abstract: In the title compound, [Co(CH₃OH)₄(H₂O)₂]SO₄, the Co^II atom and S atom lie on special positions on a twofold rotation axis. The Co^II ion is six-coordinated by four O atoms of methanol molecules and two water molecules in a distorted octahedral geometry. The cations and anions are linked by hydrogen bonds into a three-dimensional supramolecular network.
