Diamminebis(tri-tert-butoxysilanethiolato)cadmium(II) acetonitrile solvate

Abstract: The title compound, [Cd(C₁₂H₂₇O₃SSi)₂(NH₃)₂]·C₂H₃N, is a molecular heteroleptic cadmium thiolate with two ammine ligands and contains a tetrahedrally coordinated Cd^II ion with an S₂N₂ environment. All ammine H atoms and one of the H atoms of the acetonitrile methyl group participate in the formation of intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds, which link adjacent molecules into infinite chains.
