Abstract: In the title compound, [Ni(C₁₂H₈N₂)₃][Hg₂I₆]·C₃H₇NO·H₂O, the Ni^II center has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry formed by six N atoms from three phen ligands. Each Hg^II ion is coordinated by two monodentate and two bidentate I^- ions in a distorted tetrahedral geometry.
