Abstract: In the title compound [systematic name: 2-(4-methoxybenzyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione], C16H13NO3, pairwise intermolecular Caryl-H
O=C bonds generate R22(16) motifs. Additionally,
-
stacking of phthalimides in head-to-tail dimers, together with Caryl-H
O-Caryl interactions, in which the O atom of an arylmethyl ether serves as a hydrogen bond acceptor, connect these rings into infinite ribbons via R(22) motifs.
