(2-Benzoylbenzoato-O)triphenyl(triphenylphosphine oxide-O)tin(IV)

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [Sn(C₆H₅)₃(C₁₄H₉O₃)(C₁₈H₁₅OP)], consists of discrete molecules, in which the monodentate C₆H₅COC₆H₄COO^- anion and OPPh₃ are coordinated to an SnPh₃ group, and the tin center is in a trigonal-bipyramidal environment. The axial and equatorial positions of the trigonal bipyramid are occupied by the two O atoms of OPPh₃ and RCOO^- and three ipso C atoms of the three phenyl rings, respectively.
