Abstract: The molecule of the title compound, [PtCl(C₈H₁₈N₂)(C₂H₆OS)][PtCl₃(C₂H₆OS)], contains one cation and one anion, each with a square-planar coordination around the Pt^II centre. The bond lengths and angles of Pt with N, Cl and S atoms are also typical of diamine dichloroplatinum(II) complexes.
