Abstract: In the centrosymmetric title compound, [Co(C₁₁H₉N₂O₄)₂(H₂O)₄]·0.5H₂O, the Co^II complex has a distorted octahedral coordination geometry with two monodentate ligands and four water molecules. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular O-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds and a - stacking interaction.
