Bis(2-aminonaphthalene-1-sulfonato-[kappa]O)bis(1,10-phenanthroline-[kappa]2N,N')cobalt(II)

J.-H. Sun and X. Feng

Abstract: The title molecule, [Co(C10H8NO3S)2(C12H10N2)2], lies on a crystallographic twofold axis with the CoII atom coordinated by four N atoms from two chelating 1,10-phenanthroline ligands and two sulfonate O atoms from two 2-aminonaphthalene-1-sulfonate ligands in a distorted octahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, intermolecular C-H...O and N-H...O hydrogen bonds link the mononuclear units into a three-dimensional network. There is also a single N-H...O hydrogen bond and an intramolecular [pi]-[pi] stacking interaction.
