Abstract: In the title compound, [Ni(C₁₁H₁₃N₃O₂S)(C₅H₅N)], the Ni^II ion is in a distorted square-planar geometry, with the C₁₁H₁₃N₃O₂S ligand coordinated in a dianionic tridentate fashion; the pyridine molecule occupies the fourth position. The molecules are linked by N-HS interactions about an inversion center.
