Abstract: The title compound, {[Nd(C₂HF₂O₂)₃(H₂O)₂]·H₂O}_n, was synthesized by the reaction of Nd₂O₃ with difluoroacetic acid in water. The compound consists of chains, running along the b axis. The Nd³⁺ ion is coordinated by eight O atoms, giving a distorted square antiprism.
