Abstract: In the title complex, [Cu(C₂₀H₂₀N₄O₈)(H₂O)], the Cu atom has a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination environment defined by an N₂O₃ donor set; the Cu and water O atoms lie on a twofold axis. In the crystal structure, extensive hydrogen bonding links molecules into a two-dimensional network.
