Heptaaquabis(4-formylbenzoato-O)barium(II)

Abstract: The Ba atom in the title complex, [Ba(C₈H₅O₃)₂(H₂O)₇], is nine-coordinated by two formyl O atoms and seven water molecules. A mirror plane bisects the molecule, with the Ba and three water O atoms lying on the plane. O-HO hydrogen bonds link molecules into a three-dimensional network.
