-4,4'-Bipyridine-
2N:N')bis[(1,10-phenanthroline-
2N,N')(triphenylphosphine-
P)copper(I)] bis(tetrafluoroborate)Abstract: The dinuclear cation in the title compound, [Cu2(C10H8N2)(C12H8N2)2(C18H15P)2](BF4)2, lies on a centre of inversion. Each CuI atom is coordinated by 1,10-phenanthroline, triphenylphosphine and a bridging 4,4'-bipyridine molecule, and has a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. The two CuI atoms are displaced by 0.32 (1) Å on either side of the mean plane of the 4,4'-bipyridine unit.
