Piperazinium bis(dihydrogenarsenate)

Abstract: The title compound, C₄H₁₂N₂²⁺·2H₂AsO₄^-, contains a network of doubly protonated piperazinium cations (lying on centres of inversion) and dihydogenarsenate anions. The component species interact by way of cation-to-anion N-HO and anion-to-anion O-HO hydrogen bonds, the latter leading to infinite sheets of (H₂AsO₄)^- anions.
