Abstract: In the title compound, [Ni(C14H8O6S)(C12H8N2)2(H2O)]·2H2O, each Ni atom is coordinated by four N atoms [Ni-N = 2.083 (2)-2.096 (3) Å] from two 1,10-phenanthroline ligands and two O atoms [Ni-O = 2.032 (2) and 2.100 (2) Å] from a 4,4'-sulfonyldibenzoate ligand and a water molecule in a distorted octahedral geometry. The crystal structure exhibits intermolecular O-H
O hydrogen bonds and

stacking interactions.
