Abstract: The title compound, C₂₈H₄₀N₂O₂·0.5CH₃OH, crystallizes with two molecules of 1-{2-[(2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl)methyleneamino]phenyliminiomethyl}-2-naphtholate and one methanol solvent molecule in the asymmetric unit. All bond lengths and angles are normal. The crystal structure is stabilized by -, O-HO and C-H interactions.
