Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [ZnCl₂(H₂O)₂]·C₁₂H₂₄O₆·H₂O, contains the Zn atom with tetrahedral geometry and two coordinated water molecules linked to two 18-crown-6 macrocycles (residing on inversion centres) by O-HO interactions. A water molecule of crystallization further links the metal salt and one of the crown ether macrocycles.
