Poly[diammonium diaquahexahydroxyoctadecaoxodisodiohexamolybdonickelate(II)]

Abstract: The title compound, (NH₄)₂[Na₂Ni(OH)₆Mo₆O₁₈(H₂O)₂], features inversion-generated hexamolybdonickelate(II) anions (Ni site symmetry ). The anions are linked by the five-coordinate sodium cations into layers. Adjacent layers are linked through N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds involving the ammonium ions and water molecules, thus forming a three-dimensional network.
