3-(3-Hydroxyanilino)-1,3-diphenylprop-2-en-1-one

Abstract: The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C₂₁H₁₇NO₂, contains two discrete molecules with similar geometric parameters. Intramolecular N-HO=C hydrogen bonding stabilizes each of the two molecules. Intermolecular O-HO=C hydrogen bonds form two [100] chains having R₂²(16) rings. Intermolecular C-HO-H and C-HO=C hydrogen bonds lead to the formation of R₂²(7) and R₂¹(6) rings.
