N-Acryloylaspartic acid

Z.-F. Lv, X.-S. Gao, X.-F. Gao and J.-T. Wang

Abstract: The title compound, C7H9NO5, was prepared by the nucleophilic substitution reaction of acryloyl chloride with aspartic acid. The asymmetric unit contains two molecules. In the crystal structure, intermolecular N-H...O and O-H...O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a three-dimensional network, which may be effective in stabilizing the crystal structure.
