2-(Indol-3-yl)ethylammonium dihydrogenphosphate

Abstract: Ions of the title compound, tryptaminium dihydrogenphosphate, C₁₀H₁₃N₂⁺·H₂PO₄^-, are connected by intermolecular N-HO=P [NO = 3.028 (3) Å], NH₃O=P [NO = 2.720 (3) and 2.950 (3) Å], NH₃OH-P [NO = 2.993 (2) Å] and P-OHO=P [OO = 2.562 (2) and 2.619 (2) Å] hydrogen bonds between the indole -NH and ammonium -NH₃ groups of the cation and the dihydrogenphosphate anions into an infinite three-dimensional network.
