Abstract: The bis(4-ethylpyridine) adduct of dicopper(II) tetrabenzoate, [Cu₂(C₇H₅O₂)₄(C₇H₉N)₂], has centrosymmetrically related square-pyramidal Cu atoms bridged by four benzoate ions; the heterocyclic ligands that occupy the apical sites are disordered.
