Abstract: The title compound, [Zn₂(C₂₂H₂₀Cl₂N₄O₂)(H₂O)₂](NO₃)₂, was obtained by the ion-exchange reaction of a dinuclear zinc(II)-diperchlorate complex of the macrocycle with Zn(NO₃)₂·6H₂O. The complex lies about a centre of symmetry and the coordination about the Zn atom is distorted square pyramidal. Intermolecular hydrogen bonds and - stacking interactions form a three-dimensional supramolecular network.
