Abstract: The crystal structure of cadmium orthoborate, Cd3(BO3)2, contains two crystallographically distinct Cd atoms in octahedral coordination with site symmetries 2/m and 2, and one unique B atom in triangular coordination with site symmetry m. The CdO6 octahedra and BO3 triangles share corners and edges to form a three-dimensional framework.
