T.-M. Shang, Q.-F. Zhou and J.-H. Sun

Abstract: In the title compound [systematic name: 1,10-phenanthrolin-1-ium 4-(3-carboxy-2-hydroxynaphthylmethyl)-3-hydroxy-2-naphthoate N,N-dimethylformamide solvate], C12H9N2+·C23H15O6-·C3H7NO, the two naphthyl ring systems of the pamoate monoanion are perpendicular to each other. O-H...O, N-H...O and C-H...O hydrogen-bonding interactions and [pi]-[pi] stacking interactions stabilize the crystal structure.
