(E,E)-N,N'-Bis(4-chlorophenyl)ethylenediamine

Abstract: There are two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit of the title compound, C₁₆H₁₄Cl₂N₂, each possessing an E configuration about each azomethine C=N bond. The molecules also adopt a staggered conformation about the ethylene bridge. Weak C-H interactions link the molecules into ribbons along the b axis.
