cis-Bis(2,2'-bipyridine)difluorochromium(III) perchlorate

Abstract: In the title compound, cis-[CrF₂(C₁₀H₈N₂)₂]ClO₄, the Cr^III ion is coordinated by the four N atoms [Cr-N = 2.0480 (14)-2.0842 (14) Å] from two 2,2'-bipyridine ligands and two F^- ions [Cr-F = 1.8409 (10) and 1.8541 (10) Å] in a distorted octahedral arrangement. The crystal packing is stabilized by - interactions and weak intermolecular C-HF and C-HO hydrogen bonds.
