Tetrakis(1H-benzimidazole-N³)(sulfato-O)copper(II) dimethyl sulfoxide solvate

Abstract: The title copper(II) compound, [Cu(SO₄)(C₇H₆N₂)₄]·(CH₃)₂SO, displays a square-pyramidal coordination geometry formed by four benzimidazole ligands and a sulfate anion. The molecules are linked by N-HO and C-HO hydrogen bonds, forming an extensive two-dimensional network in the ab plane.
