Phenyl 2-oxoimidazolidine-1-carboxylate

Abstract: In the title compound, C₁₀H₁₀N₂O₃, the five-membered imidazolidine ring is planar, with an r.m.s. derivation of 0.0243 (1)Å. The dihedral angle between the imidazolidine ring and the phenyl ring is 78.83 (2)°. A centrosymmetric ring is formed by a pair of N-HO hydrogen bonds, creating a dimer; C-HO hydrogen bonds connect these dimers into a three-dimensional network.
