Poly[[pentaaquatris(₃,₂-pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylato)dilanthanum(III)] monohydrate]

Abstract: The title La^III complex, [La₂(C₇H₃NO₄)₃(H₂O)₅]·H₂O, forms a layer-type polymeric structure with La^III ions bridged by pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylate ligands. The asymmetric unit contains two La^III ions, the first exhibiting a distorted tricapped trigonal prismatic geometry (nine-coordinate) and the other a bicapped dodecahedral configuration (ten-coordinate).
