Aquabis(1,2-ethanediamine-²N,N')hydroxidocobalt(III) naphthalene-1,5-disulfonate monohydrate

Abstract: The Co^III atom in the title compound, [Co(C₂H₈N₂)₂(OH)(H₂O)](C₁₀H₆O₆S₂)·H₂O, exhibits an octahedral coordination geometry, with the hydroxide and water ligands occupying cis sites. Adjacent cations are linked into linear chains through hydrogen-bonded OHOH₂ units. The Co^III atom lies on a twofold rotation axis and the naphthalene-1,5-disulfonate dianion lies on a centre of inversion.
