Abstract: In the title complex, [CuCl₂(C₃₁H₂₈N₆)]·0.5C₂H₃N, the Cu²⁺ atom is coordinated in a distorted square-pyramidal geometry by three N atoms from the pyrazolyl groups of the tripodal ligand, and by two chloride anions.
