Abstract: The title complex, [Cu(H2NCH2CH2NH2)2(CF3COO)2], possesses a crystallographically imposed centre of symmetry. The Cu(II) atom is coordinated by four N atoms [Cu-N 1.985 (2), 2.015 (2) Å] from two chelate ethylenediamine ligands and two O atoms [Cu-O 2.579 (2) Å] from two trifluoroacetate anions in a distorted octahedral geometry. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular N-H
O hydrogen bonds.
