Diaquabis(5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylato)cobalt(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Co(C₁₀H₇NO₂)₂(H₂O)₂], the Co^II ion lies on an inversion centre. It has a distorted octahedral geometry and is coordinated by two N,O-bidentate 5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate ligands and two water molecules. Intermolecular O-HO and N-HO hydrogen bonds link molecules into layers parallel to the (010) plane.
