L. Ding, J.-H. Zuo, C.-B. Liu, R.-H. Deng and H.-L. Wen

Abstract: In the title compound, [Co(C10H7NO2)2(H2O)2], the CoII ion lies on an inversion centre. It has a distorted octahedral geometry and is coordinated by two N,O-bidentate 5-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-3-carboxylate ligands and two water molecules. Intermolecular O-H...O and N-H...O hydrogen bonds link molecules into layers parallel to the (010) plane.
