Abstract: The title compound, Y(HP₂O₇)·3H₂O, is isostructural with Ln(HP₂O₇)·3H₂O (Ln = Gd, Er). The YO₈ units and (HP₂O₇)^3- anions form sheets parallel to ab and a network of O-HO hydrogen bonds helps to establish the crystal packing.
