Abstract: The Ni atom in the linear polymeric title complex, [Ni{S₂P(OC₆H₁₁)₂}₂(NC₅H₄C₅H₄N)]_n or [Ni(C₁₂H₂₂O₂PS₂)₂(C₁₀H₈N₂)]_n, is octahedrally coordinated within a trans-N₂S₄ donor set. The Ni atom and the N atoms of the 4,4'-bipyridine ligand are located on a twofold axis.
