Dibromo{4-chloro-2-[(2-diethylaminoethylimino)methyl]phenolato}zinc(II)

Abstract: The title compound, [ZnBr₂(C₁₃H₁₉ClN₂O)], is a mononuclear Schiff base zinc(II) complex. The Zn atom in the compound is four-coordinated by one imine N and one phenolate O atom of the Schiff base ligand and by two terminal bromide anions in a tetrahedral geometry. In the crystal structure, molecules are linked through intermolecular N-HO and C-HBr hydrogen bonds, forming layers parallel to the bc plane.
