(N,N,N',N'',N''-Pentamethyldiethylenetriamine-[kappa]3N,N',N'')(trithiocyanurato-[kappa]2N,S)zinc(II)

J. Marek, Z. Trávnícek and S. Cermáková

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [Zn(C9H23N3)(C3HN3S3)], consists of discrete molecules connected by N-H...S hydrogen bonds into centrosymmetric dimers. The ZnII atom is pentacoordinated in a deformed trigonal-bipyramidal geometry by three N atoms of a tridentate N,N,N',N'',N''-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine ligand, and one S and one N atoms of a trithiocyanurate dianion bonded as a bidentate ligand. The crystal structure is further stabilized by close contacts of the types C-H...S and C-H...N.
