(N,N,N',N'',N''-Pentamethyldiethylenetriamine-³N,N',N'')(trithiocyanurato-²N,S)zinc(II)

Abstract: The structure of the title compound, [Zn(C₉H₂₃N₃)(C₃HN₃S₃)], consists of discrete molecules connected by N-HS hydrogen bonds into centrosymmetric dimers. The Zn^II atom is pentacoordinated in a deformed trigonal-bipyramidal geometry by three N atoms of a tridentate N,N,N',N'',N''-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine ligand, and one S and one N atoms of a trithiocyanurate dianion bonded as a bidentate ligand. The crystal structure is further stabilized by close contacts of the types C-HS and C-HN.
