Aqua[2,6-bis(pyridin-2-yl)pyridin-4-ol]sulfatocopper(II) dihydrate

Abstract: The Cu^II ion of the title complex, [Cu(SO₄)(C₁₅H₁₁N₃O)(H₂O)]·2H₂O, exhibits a square-pyramidal coordination geometry, defined by the three N-atom donors of a 2,6-bis(pyridin-2-yl)pyridin-4-ol ligand and an O atom of a sulfate group in the basal plane, and by an aqua ligand in the apical position.
