Disodium bis(2-aminopyridinium) hexahydrogen hexamolybdonickelate(II) dihydrate

Abstract: The title compound, disodium bis(2-aminopyridinium) hexa- [mu] ₃-hydroxidohexa- [mu] ₂-oxidododecaoxidohexamolybdonickel;ate(II) dihydrate, Na₂(C₅H₇N₂)₂[H₆NiMo₆O₂₄]·2H₂O, features [beta] -type Anderson heteropolyoxometalate anions (Ni site symmetry $\\overline{1}$ ). These anions are connected to 2-aminopyridinium cations and water molecules via N-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional network.
