trans-Bis(hydrogen maleato-O)bis(pyridine-2-carboxamide-²N¹,O)copper(II)

Abstract: In the title compound, [Cu(C₄H₃O₄)₂(C₆H₆N₂O)₂], the Cu^II atom lies on a centre of symmetry and adopts a 4+2 elongated octahedral geometry with two hydrogen maleate ligands in axial positions. The complex molecules are linked via N-HO hydrogen bonds into a two-dimensional network and further form a three-dimensional structure via weak C-HO interactions.
