Disodium 4-nitrophenyl phosphate trihydrate

Abstract: The title compound, 2Na⁺·C₆H₄NO₆P^2-·3H₂O, crystallizes from acetone with one 4-nitrophenyl phosphate dianion, two Na⁺ cations and three water molecules in the asymmetric unit. In the crystal packing, layers parallel to the ab plane are formed by Na⁺ cations chelated by dianions, and bridged by dianions and water molecules. Adjacent layers are linked through O-HO hydrogen bonds.
