Abstract: The tricyclic title compound, C48H64N4O10, consists of two unsymmetric 18-membered diazatetraoxamacrocycles (NONOOO donor atom set) connected through the N atoms by two lateral ethanoxyethano bridges. The bridging subunits, together with one bridge from each monocycle, define a 24-membered ring that forms a central cavity. The 18-membered rings are parallel to each other, are displaced out of overlap with each other, and are oriented in an opposite sense with respect to the plane defined by the donor atoms of the central cavity.
