Ethyl 3-(7-bromo-2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-5-yl)propanoate

Abstract: The title compound, C₁₃H₁₅BrO₃, was synthesized by the reaction of ethyl 3-(2,3-dihydro-1-benzofuran-5-yl)propanoate with bromine. The benzofuran system is planar and subtends an angle of 87.27 (9)° with the propanoate unit.
