Hexane-1,6-diammonium bis(dihydrogenarsenate): infinite anionic layers containing R₆⁶(24) loops

Abstract: The title compound, C₆H₁₈N₂²⁺·2H₂AsO₄^-, contains a network of doubly protonated centrosymmetric hexane-1,6-diammonium cations and dihydrogenarsenate anions. These species interact by way of cation-to-anion N-HO and anion-to-anion O-HO hydrogen bonds, the latter leading to infinite sheets of the H₂AsO₄^- anions.
