(Acetylacetonato-²O,O')(oxalato-²O,O')(1,10-phenanthroline-²N,N')chromium(III) trihydrate

Abstract: The title ternary mixed-ligand chromium(III) complex, [Cr(C₅H₇O₂)(C₂O₄)(C₁₂H₈N₂)]·3H₂O, features a distorted octahedral geometry completed by three different bidentate chelating ligands, viz. 1,10-phenanthroline, acetylacetonate and oxalate. Complex molecules are linked by - stacking interactions between phenanthroline rings, and C-HO and O-HO hydrogen bonds to form a three-dimensional structure.
